"My religious beliefs say all males should be circumcised on the eighth day of their life by a mohel. So unless male residents of Providence who want to pay taxes on their car, property, or whatever else are circumcised, I cannot process their tax payments in good conscience. God's law prevents me from doing so," explained Weiss.

Weiss added, "I happen to be a mohel, and I am offering a complimentary after-hours circumcision to all tax-paying males in Providence so I can process their tax payments. Males who are already circumcised just need to send me a doctor's note confirming that. Please don't send me pictures, as they cannot be confirmed."
Mr. Weiss confessed Kim Davis - the Rowan County, Kentucky Clerk currently in jail for contempt of court for failing to follow the law and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples - was his hero for "fighting for religious freedom."
Republican presidential candidate and former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee briefly escaped from a mental institution to support Weiss when he learned the City of Providence was making preparations to fire the clerk.
